EMERALD x DURST P5 350 - The Story of a Company That Helped Build Poland’s Corrugated Printing Market

Technology is One Thing. Expert Implementation is Another. Emerald Accelerates with LFP Industrial Solutions.
Some companies grow with the market – Emerald helped shape it. Nearly two decades before digital corrugated printing became a trend, they had already invested in it. “We brought corrugated printing into the mainstream. We helped build this market,” says owner Arkadiusz Wieczorek. His statement reflects a history of decisions made ahead of everyone else.
Emerald’s story began in 2003, responding to retailers’ need for fast, flexible visual communication. “Production times of months? We cut them to three weeks,” recalls Commercial Director Bogdan Blajer. Suddenly, the market had a local partner that delivered with speed and agility. In 2006, Emerald installed Poland’s first digital machine for corrugated POS. “We started printing on day one. Orders were waiting,” laughs Arkadiusz. That readiness to act became part of the company’s DNA.
Today, the next generation continues that momentum. “The market is faster than ever. You either deliver instantly and consistently, or you fall behind,” says Filip Wieczorek. Emerald keeps evolving, staying true to its pioneering roots.
That philosophy ultimately led Emerald to choose the Durst P5 350. And importantly - it was not an emotional decision. It was a two-year, carefully considered process. “You don’t buy a machine like this for the impression. We analysed the market for two years. We tested, simulated, evaluated service, talked to users. We had to be sure,” says Arkadiusz. The sentence carries a sense of responsibility - towards customers, employees and the company itself.
The choice of Durst was made not because it “prints nicely,” but because it provides security. Filip puts it even more directly: “The alternative simply didn’t make sense. When we compared speed, quality, stability and service, it was clear that Durst was the only long-term option.”
The installation was lightning fast - so fast that the team struggles to describe it in detail. “We barely remember it. The machine was set up, and we immediately started printing real orders,” says Bogdan. A few weeks later, the P5 350 had already passed 30,000 square meters. From day one it has been running without downtime - impressive even in a market used to high-performance equipment.
The effect? Production increased threefold. The sales team can finally breathe, no longer worrying about deadlines. “Durst took over the heavy, repetitive work. Our operators can now focus on what truly builds advantage: precision, control and production preparation,” adds Filip. Emerald is expanding its facility, strengthening its finishing line and hiring new people. Durst has become the accelerator pulling the entire plant forward.
“From the very first conversation, it was clear that Emerald knew exactly what they needed: stability, quality and partnership. We could provide both - the machine and the service support they can rely on every day,” says Przemysław Arabski, Director of Graphics & Industrial at LFP Industrial Solutions.
Emerald was a pioneer long before digital corrugated printing became a conversation point in Poland. And everything suggests they will continue setting the direction for the industry.
