Durst Group: digital print natives

Brixen/Stockholm, June 11, 2025 – Durst Group, a leading manufacturer of digital printing and production technologies, is strengthening its presence in Scandinavia by marking both an emotional farewell and a clear step into the future: After over 60 years of successful collaboration, the company bids farewell to its long-time distribution partner Hans Molander, who is entering retirement, and welcomes Mattias Hersby as the new Managing Director of the newly established Durst Nordic AB.

Hans Molander and his family company have been closely associated with Durst for more than six decades. In 2009, Durst Group became a shareholder in Molanders Sign & Display. With the now completed full acquisition, the next logical step has been taken: the company has been renamed Durst Nordic AB.

“Hans Molander’s passion, entrepreneurial foresight, and loyalty have helped shape Durst’s path in the Nordic region. On behalf of the entire Durst family, I extend my heartfelt thanks,” said Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of Durst Group. “As a token of appreciation, Hans received a Tyrolean eagle – a symbol of strength, vision, and origin.“

Mattias Hersby takes over as Managing Director

Mattias Hersby brings extensive international management experience to his new role. From 2019 to 2024, he served as Director of Business Development & Operations at Schibsted in Stockholm. Prior to that, he held management positions at leading advertising and media companies in Sweden, Germany, the UK and Australia.
Mattias is known for analytical leadership, clear goal-setting, and consistent team development. His structured approach and international perspective make him an ideal choice to expand Durst’s market presence in Northern Europe.

“With the establishment of Durst Nordic AB, we are taking full ownership of the Nordic market and setting the stage for future growth,” said Christoph Gamper. “I’m very much looking forward to working with Mattias and our regional team.”
