Durst offers VOC-free UV ink systems for a wide range of flatbed applications. Durst’s development approach, including in-house application and weathering tests, ensures maximum system stability. All ink systems and production batches are continuously monitored under the strictest laboratory conditions in order to provide optimum performance for users.
This universal ink set is ideally suited for finishing a large number of different types of flatbed and roll media. Besides standard materials such as paper or PVC, this ink is particularly suitable for media requiring high ink adhesion such as acrylic, polycarbonate, and polypropylene.
Rho POP HS ink was specially developed to produce high print volumes cost-efficiently. This high-gloss ink makes it possible to eliminate additional finishing processes such as high-gloss lamination, making the overall production process more efficient.
This ink system was developed for inexpensive and odor-reduced printing on paper surfaces, corrugated displays, posters, and packaging. It has been optimized with regard to application-specific criteria to allow, for example, 360-degree bending when post-processing paper surfaces.
*Color expansion with Orange, Violet, Green and White is partly realized by combination with other, compatible ink families.
Durst offers two sets of VOC-free UV inks for all applications on roll material that deliver impressive flexibility, excellent adhesive characteristics, and a large color space. The use of light colors together with white and additional process colors provide a broad tonal range. Both sets of ink are GREENGUARD GOLD certified and deliver an exceptional level of color brilliance combined with low consumption thanks to their high degree of pigmentation.
This ink is the most economical solution for flexible media printed on Rho roll-to-roll presses such as the Rho 512R or Rho 312R
The flexible, low-tack ink is compatible with all Durst roll-to-roll printers and is suitable for a wide range of materials. This includes self-adhesive substrates, backlit materials, transparent films, paper, and PVC.
A number of different inks are available for Durst’s Tau printing systems. Depending on the selected application, high resistance, adhesion, light fastness, and color space together with low migration and odor reduction are key criteria that our inks satisfy.Tau UV inks also impress with their very high print quality.
With the release of the labelpress Tau 330RSC, the new ink set Tau RSC UV Ink has been introduced. During developement the focus was set on excellent flow characteristics with at the same time high edge sharpeness. With 7 process colors it is possible to cover up to 98% of the Pantone color scale and reproduce corporate colors exactly. Tau RSC UV Inks are light-fast and resistant to chemical influences.Tau RSC UV Ink is available in the colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Orange, Violet, Green and White. It exhibits a shelf life of 6 months.
The light-fastness of this ink set was determined on raw material level. The subsequent table summarizes the corresponding results rated to the bluewool testing protocol.
A key feature of this high-performance UV ink is its large color space. 4 process colors cover up to 70% of the Pantone color scale, with 6 colors covering up to 90%. Tau UV ink also provides excellent opaque white in single-pass mode with 80% opacity. Tau UV inks are light-fast, scratch-resistant, and resistant to chemical influences, which is why they are particularly suited to outdoor applications as well as industrial and safety labeling. Tau UV inks are UL-certified, and can be used on a large number of different materials and surfaces.Tau Standard UV Ink is available in the colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Orange, Violet and White. It exhibits a shelf life of 12 months.
Tau Standard UV Inks met the requirements of the Marine Immersion Test (BS 5609, Section 3). The corresponding testing was done on the base substrates UPM PP White UV Inkjet 60.
Tau HD UV-ink (high-density or highly pigmented) features an extended color space. 4 process colors cover up to 80% of the Pantone color scale. This ink also achieves significant cost savings, as it allows up to 25% less ink to be applied depending on the design. Furthermore, this ink is ideal for printing inexpensive, selfadhesive labels.Tau HD UV Ink is available in the colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black.* It exhibits a shelf life of 9 months.
*Color expansion with Orange, Violet and White is realized by combination with other, compatible ink families.
Tau low-migration UV inks allow printing on primary food packaging. This could include self-adhesive labels for food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals as well as special packaging such as aluminum caps or folding cartons. Their chemical composition meets all the guidelines of the European Printing Ink Association (EuPIA) and the Swiss Ordinance on Materials and Articles.Tau low-migration inks contain no substances that are explicitly excluded by the Nestlé Packaging Inks Specification.Tau Low Migration UV Ink is available in the colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Orange, Violet and White. It exhibits a shelf life of 12 (CMYKOV) and 6 (W) months, respectively.
Durst UV InkDurst not only supplies water-based inks but also UV ink systems for corrugated and display applications. Ink systems such as the Rho Paper and Board 30 DM ink or Rho POP HS ink are ideal for realizing corrugated and display applications using conventional UV systems.
This paper and board ink was specially developed for printingon paper surfaces. It is a particularly cost-efficient solution for all producers of displays and other paper applications. The ink is suitable for printing on coated and semi-coated paper as well as uncoated, absorbent paper surfaces. Its hard surface allows it to be stacked easily and further processed without abrasion.
POP HS ink is a very versatile ink that is suitable for printing on paper surfaces as well as on Forex, dibond, and styrene. The particularly large color space and the gloss finish mean that this ink can be used very flexibly.
Durst Water Technology InkDurst Water Technology is a part of the long-term strategy of Durst offering digital printing systems with water-based, hazard-free inks as a sustainable alternative to conventional printing systems in the field of corrugated boards and displays. The corresponding ink systems deliver high-quality, odorless, abrasion-resistant, high-gloss, and light-fast end products in single-pass and multi-pass printing systems.
This water-based ink was designed for extremely fast print processes on corrugated materials and is used in the Delta single-pass print line. It can be used to realize high-quality, odorless, abrasion-resistant, glossy, and light-fast corrugated products that precisely meet the requirements of the packaging industry.
Durst’s water-based WT MP ink is used in Delta multi-pass printing systems to realize high-quality print products in multi-pass printing. For example, skin tones are reproduced even more naturally through the use of light colors.
Rhotex inks are water-based, dye sub-inks for soft signage applications on polyester-based materials. When combined with the new Rhotex generation, they permit direct printing onto textiles as well as printing onto transfer paper. These inks are completely environmentally friendly, free of VOC emissions, and easy to dispose of.
Compared to eco-solvent inks, Rhotex inks offer a significantly larger color space. Hue and color density are far superior to those of UV and latex inks, while ink consumption is very low.
The main applications are promotional media, flags, banners, wall coverings, backlit advertising panels, and stage and trade show construction.
We offer environmentally friendly pigment, reactive and dispersion inks based on our Durst Water Technology for Alpha printing systems. The performance, stability, and cost-efficiency of each set of inks have been optimized. They deliver impressive performance in all key areas such as color space, image quality, consistency, and light-fastness.
GOTS-certified Durst reactive inks were developed for classical applications such as household textiles, curtains, bed and sofa covers, apparel, and fashion. They are suitable for printing cotton and cotton mixtures with a cotton content of at least 60% as well as polyamide and silk.
The pigment ink system specially developed by Durst can be used universally in the textile field. It is characterized by outstanding color reproduction while offering a soft look and feel. There is no need for pre- and post-processing steps in most standard applications, thus guaranteeing maximum cost efficiency in production.
Flags, banners, outdoor signage, POP applications, automotive applications, and household textiles are often realized using synthetic fibers. Durst dispersion inks were designed for printing on polyester and polyester mixtures with a polyester content of at least 50%.
